Cherokee County is part of Metro Atlanta to the northwest of downtown Atlanta. The county is bisected by I-575 and has a population of 215,000. The majority of the county's residents and home owners live in Woodstock and Canton, the county seat.

The beautiful and serene body of water is one of the Corpes of Engineers most visited recreation areas in the country. Home to Dixie Speedway a 3/8-mile banked clay oval hosting national races as well as weekly local drags and more. May through November you can catch races every Saturday night, and the track will carry about any hot rockin' racer that can be put on clay. Fans can have a chance to drag too, just bring a helmet,car, seat belt and roll bar and you're ready to go.
